COME AS YOU ARE

At SVCC, we want you to feel welcome, which means we want you to BE YOU! Feel free to dress in your most comfortable jeans and t-shirt, or join us in a dress or sport coat. What you wear is not as important as how you feel. At SVCC, we will greet you with a hug – but if you prefer a handshake, don’t hesitate to let us know! You will walk into an energetic and loving atmosphere, and the energy is contagious! Come prepared to fellowship after service – we want you to learn about us, and we look forward to getting to know you.

CHILDREN

Our goal is to provide a positive, Christ-centered learning environment where your kids feel comfortable and loved. Serenity Kids is an amazing place for your children to start to develop their own relationship with God. Our teaching staff and volunteers use the Orange Strategy, which encourages the church and the home to work together to ensure that every child has a better future.

We have a place for all ages – newborn through 5th grade. Each family will be required to complete a new family information packet to ensure we provide the best care possible. Your child will receive a snack during their time in Serenity Kids, so we want to ensure their health and any special needs are being addressed.

Check in times begin at 10:00am Sunday mornings, and 5:30pm Sunday evenings. Your child will receive a special tag, and the parent or guardian will receive a matching tag. The matching tag is required to pick up your child from the classroom at anytime during or after the service.

Serenity Kids also meets Wednesday evenings during Bible Study. Check in begins at 6:00pm

Our class rooms are divided into the following age groups:

Nursery ages 0 – 24 months

Our nursery is staffed with loving, caring teachers who care for and teach your children from the Orange First Look Curriculum, while sharing Bible stories, music, play time and age appropriate arts & crafts.

Pre-K ages 2 – 4

Serenity Kids Pre-K children also learn from the First Look Curriculum, as the teachings continue to focus on three TRUTHS: “God Made Me, God Loves Me and Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever”

Elementary ages 5-11

School-aged Serenity Kids now advance to the 252 Basics Curriculum, based on teachings from Luke 2:52: I need to make the wise choice; I can trust God no matter what; I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Even a child makes himself known by his acts, by whether his conduct is pure and upright.
Proverbs 20:11 ESV

YOUTH

At SVCC, we are committed to the next generation of world changers.  Led by Pastor Danny Hernandez, Serenity Youth is designed to support the needs of our students, while helping them develop their relationship with God through building their faith, building their character, and building healthy relationships.  Our kids are faced with day-to-day challenges of peer pressure, bullying, and major influences from social media, just to name a few.  With an amazing team of experienced Youth Leaders to guide them, our goal is to provide our teens with a comfortable, open, and loving environment where they can be supported and surrounded by like-minded, healthy, and caring peers and leaders.

Serenity Youth welcomes 6th thru 12th graders, and meets every Wednesday at 6:30pm
